A filter changes more than flow rate. It affects extraction, texture, clarity and how much of the coffee’s character reaches the cup.
Fast, controlled flow
Allows water to pass through more freely, making it easier to grind finer, extract more evenly and push sweetness without stalling.
Better fit. Less bypass.
The structured shape helps the filter sit properly in the brewer, so more water moves through the coffee bed instead of around it.
More clarity in the cup
Built to highlight clean flavours, brighter acidity and more defined sweetness - especially in high-quality light roasts.
Made for specialty coffee
Designed for brewers who want to taste more of the coffee itself: origin, process, variety and the work behind it.
Organic paper construction
Made from carefully selected natural fibres for consistency, structure and a cleaner brewing experience.
Minimal paper taste
Low flavour impact, so the filter stays in the background and the coffee remains the focus.
Why the filter matters.
A good filter does more than hold coffee. It controls flow, affects extraction and changes how much clarity you get in the cup.
SIBARIST filters are a small change that makes a big difference. Better flow. Better extraction. Better coffee.

FAQ
How do SIBARIST filters influence the taste profile of coffee?
Their fast-flowing structure allows for more even extractions, resulting in greater clarity, sweeter cups, and a silkier mouthfeel. Because the water passes through the bed more uniformly, you’re able to extract more without the bitterness or over-extraction that often comes with finer grinds.
Do SIBARIST filters require adjusting grind size or brewing methods?
Yes. Due to the faster flow rate, we recommend grinding slightly finer than usual to hit your target brew time. This lets you extract more sweetness and complexity while keeping the brew balanced. The structure of the filter also allows for more even extractions across a wide range of coffees.
When using FAST-filters, expect a faster brew time, despite a significantly finer grind. If you reach similar brew times as with regular filters when using FAST, you risk over-extracting your brew.
Does Nordic Brew Lab use SIBARIST Filters behind bar?
Yes, we exclusively use SIBARIST-filters at Nordic Brew Lab, regardless if we're brewing behind bar for the public, or for private coffee tasting-events. We're currently using a mix of B3 and FAST-filters, depending on the coffee served and it's characteristics.
Are SIBARIST filters reusable?
No—they’re single-use filters designed for maximum cleanliness, consistency, and flavor clarity. Reusability isn’t the goal here—the priority is delivering uncompromised brews with minimal paper taste and zero retention from previous brews.
What makes SIBARIST different from regular paper filters?
SIBARIST filters are engineered with FAST Specialty Coffee Filter Paper—a high-porosity, premium paper that offers a faster flow rate, reduced bypass, and cleaner extractions. The result? More clarity, sweetness, and balance in the cup. Unlike traditional filters, they help you reach higher extractions without bitterness or astringency—unlocking more of your coffee’s potential.
Why are SIBARIST filters more expensive than standard filters?
These filters are made from high-end abaca and cellulose fibers, using a specialized manufacturing process in Barcelona, Spain. Their unique structure improves flow, consistency, and cup quality. In short: they’re a performance tool, not just a paper product—designed for brewers who want the best possible flavor outcome.
