Colombia "Daniel Caro Lopez" Washed Chiroso - SEY

Daniel Caro López is a second-generation coffee producer whose farm, El Tambo, sits at 2,200 masl in Güíntar, Anzá, in northern Antioquia. Working with export partner The Coffee Quest, we have been developing a project around Chiroso, a distinctive variety increasingly recognised for its exceptional cup quality. This final harvest of the season reflects an especially strong year for the project, with Chiroso remaining the farm’s primary variety.

The cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, floated, and depulped on the day of harvest before fermenting underwater for six days. The parchment is then dried on raised beds to around 10% moisture

Expect a fruity yet elegant cup with notes of sweet lychee, delicate Oolong and ripe mango.
