Colombia "Decaffeinated" Dry Fermented EA Decaf Castillo + Colombia + Caturra - SEY

Sale price300 kr

International Feature Roaster: SEY

Blending Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varieties, this decaffeinated coffee brings together harvests from a small group of producers in San Agustín, Huila, where coffee is grown at 1,600–1,800 masl. The lot combines varieties commonly cultivated across Colombia, balancing Caturra’s Bourbon heritage with the disease-resistant Castillo and Colombia hybrids. After processing and drying, the green coffee is decaffeinated at Descafecol in Manizales using ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane.

The cherries are hand-picked, floated, depulped, and dry-fermented for 24 hours before being dried on shaded raised beds for around 30 days. During decaffeination, the coffee is steamed and treated with the sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate to extract at least 97% of its caffeine.

Expect a sweet and fruity cup with notes of orange marmalade, dark chocolate and strawberries.
