Kenya "Kapsokisio" Washed K7, SL28, SL34 - Tim Wendelboe
Feature Roaster: Tim Wendelboe
This washed lot comes from the Kapsokisio wet mill on the slopes of Mount Elgon, Kenya, where several hundred smallholder farmers cultivate coffee. Most producers grow the historic K7 variety, with smaller amounts of SL28 and SL34, creating a profile that stands apart from coffees found in central Kenya.
Ripe cherries are hand-picked, sorted, and depulped before undergoing 12–16 hours of dry fermentation. The coffee is then washed, density-graded, and dried on raised beds for 10–14 days.
Expect a juicy and fruity cup with notes of rose hips, hibiscus, and fresh red berries.
