Alejo, a fifth-generation producer whose family has cultivated coffee in Costa Rica for over two centuries, manages farms along the volcanic slopes of Barva, Poás, and Los Santos. There, he focuses on exceptional varieties—Geisha, SL-28, Villasarchi, and Caturra—grown with precision and deep agricultural heritage.
Processing is equally intentional, with washed, honey, and natural methods applied to highlight the character of each variety and terroir. Beyond production, Alejo’s family safeguards hundreds of hectares of native forest and rainforest, ensuring ecological preservation remains central to their legacy.
Expect a juicy cup with notes of red fruits, brown spices, and cooked apples with a medium body.
