This coffee is grown by Wako Jegso in Halo Bariti at around 2,100 masl. Part of the Lemlem Ejersa farmer group, Wako cultivates varieties 74110 and Kurume while also growing fruit trees and keeping bees on the same land. Having inherited the farm from his father, he continues a long family tradition of coffee farming rooted in the landscapes of Yirgacheffe.
Ripe cherries are carefully handpicked and sorted before being dried naturally on raised beds for up to three weeks. During drying the coffee is regularly turned to ensure even airflow and stable fermentation.
Expect a vibrant cup with notes of sweet apricot jam, juicy berries, and a delicate rose finish.
