Costa Rica "La Guaca" Red Honey Catuai - Swerl

Sale price230 kr

Café Rivense, founded in 2005 by Régulo Ureña and Isabel Rojas, sits in the mountainous Chirripó region of southern Costa Rica—remote enough that the winding roads turn a short trip from San José into a true climb. The farm and micromill are run entirely by the Ureña family, with sons Ricardo, Mario, Esteban, and Luis each leading different parts of the operation.

Today, Café Rivense is fully independent, handling everything from hand-picking and processing to dry milling, packaging, and exporting. Their strength lies in precise organization and a strong commitment to sustainability. Shade trees and native plants support biodiversity, while soil analysis, careful fertilization, low-water processing, and full traceability ensure each lot reflects both environmental care and technical rigor.

Expect a vibrant and elegant cup with notes of tropical fruits, ripe yellow plums, and florals.
