Kenya "Baragwi Guama AA" Washed - Cafen
International Feature Roaster: Cafen
Baragwi Guama AA is a washed SL28 and SL34 field blend from the Kirinyaga region's Baragwi cooperative, grown at 1,700–1,900m on smallholder farms overlooking Mount Kenya. This AA-grade lot benefits from the area's red volcanic soils and cool nights, with cherries hand-picked twice for ripeness, depulped, fermented for 24–36 hours in clean water, and graded meticulously at the cooperative's wet mill to ensure exceptional clarity and consistency.
Expect a clean, layered expression of Kenyan terroir - where bright black currant and lemon curd meet the refinement of black tea, finishing with an intensely sweet, lingering complexity.
