Grown at around 1,900 masl in Kiambu County, this coffee benefits from a cool climate that slows cherry maturation and helps develop greater sweetness, complexity, and acidity. Most farmers delivering cherries to the wet mill cultivate the classic SL28 and SL34 varieties, valued for their high quality at altitude, while smaller amounts of rust-resistant hybrids like Batian and Ruiru 11 are also present.
The result is a vibrant and expressive cup, known for its crisp acidity and intense fruit and floral character, combining clarity and elegance with the bold flavour profile that has made coffees from this region stand out for years.
Expect an exceptional fruity cup with notes of juicy blackcurrants, rose hips and delicate floral aromas.
Tasting Notes: Floral | Blackcurrant | Rose Hips
