This lot comes from Thunguri Coffee in Kenya’s Nyeri region, grown at around 1,710 masl in rich volcanic soils and cool highland conditions. These ideal conditions allow the SL28 variety to ripen slowly, bringing out its signature clarity, bright acidity, and vibrant fruit character. Cherries are handpicked and carefully sorted for quality.
The coffee is processed using the classic washed method: pulped, fermented, and washed before drying on raised African beds. This highlights the coffee’s clean structure, lively acidity, and juicy, expressive profile that defines great Nyeri coffees.
Expect a vibrant and juicy cup with notes of cranberry, and raspberry with a velvety texture.
